What Is Recovery Like After Ear Surgery?
Once the surgery is complete and you are released, you can return home to recover. We will provide you with a healing protocol before you leave our office. It's critical that you or your child not touch, pick at, or scratch your ears as they heal. Additionally, we will ask you to avoid lying on your ears and sleep with your head elevated during the first few days of the healing process.
You will have a follow-up appointment roughly one week after the surgery, at which point one of our plastic surgeons in Long Island will remove the wrappings and make sure your ears are healing properly. Your results will appear right away and will continue to look better as the days pass.
